So! This should provide more than an ample fix of my face if there ever was need for any.
This is a project for Uni. Our task was to create a self portrait in film format, roughly 30 seconds long. My idea was to simply draw an actual self portrait for every year of my life and then cut that into a short film, leaving each image on the screen for about one and a half seconds. About half way into this I realized that it's a totally ineffective use of the medium film and I should have probably gone with something I haven't done before, maybe using an actual camera even. Oh well too late for that. Live and learn (to think ahead).
Most of these are fucked up in one way or another but I wanted to get this done by today so I had to rush myself. These are all really a mix of traditional and digital media (Photoshop). I wanted to try out some different styles, some of which worked, some of which didn't (in my opinion). Obviously, photographic reference was used for each of these.
Very nice. I like how you picked a different style or technique with each drawing. Like always, your colors are spot on, definitely worth a favorite. I look forward to what you submit next.
Wow!! It's so interesting to see all the styles and techniques that you used and it's so great to see you grow up right before our eyes! It's also hilarious to see all the faces that you make and how you can tell that it's you all the way through. (:
