Artist's Comments

Up to now, I always colored my own pictures cel-shaded style, but recently I've become very partial to this simplistic, painterish style that I've finally been able to apply to my own ideas. Problem is that with this one, I was painting directly on the background layer, without noticing it, until it was too late. Which is explains the missing background. I'll try to kick it up a notch with the next one (now I just need some ideas).

But boy oh boy, do I sure love rendering shiny objects.
Tools: Adobe Photoshop 7.0, Wacom 6x8 Intuos 2.

And now that you say it, Le Boom would have made a much better title.

But then it loses that painted effect around the edges. Of course, I can go back and paint the edges in there again, but here's one for you: that's not happening! ;P
