Artist's Comments
WARNING, FULL VIEW IS HUGE.
But I didn't want to split up every page into an individual deviation either. It's much easier for you to view them like this, and much easier for me to keep track of comments like this. Anyway, this is what I chose to do for my final major project at University this year. A short comic which functions as a sort of prelude to what could be something bigger (but probably never will be). The whole thing is pretty much an experiment. I haven't ever done any real sequential work prior to this (and I think it shows, haha), so I wanted to try it out. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome, although there's a whole ton of things I can see that are wrong with it as it is now (but isn't that always the case...). IN ADDITION to the 7 pages, there's a roughly 60 page sketchbook / journal, with background information on the characters, history, etc. etc. which you can view here if you like: journal 1 journal 2 journal 3 journal 4 journal 5 journal 6 journal 7 journal 8 I split it up into sections cause it was too monstrous in file size as a single image. Also, my apologies if it's hard to read the text, but I don't expect anyone to really want to read all of that anyway. If you're curious as to why there's other artists work stuck in my journal, that's artist research, which we had to include in our journals as a part of the project. Just for shits and giggles, here's what it looks like on display: one, two. Alright that's it. Pages were done digitally, in Photoshop CS3. Journal was done traditionally (duh). I hope you enjoy! And special special thanks go out to Pedro |
